Lucid
keys are identification aids. They are 'matrix-keys'. They are arranged in a
hierarchy. The keys currently available are 'first draft', and we seek critical
and constructive feedback.
The keys can be downloaded to a local PC (they are not tolerated by MACs, although
platform independent versions are planned for 2002. Unpack the keys, initiate
Lucid Player and begin with the 'MyFirstKey' the initial micro*scope
guide to microbes. There will lead you through a sequence of keys, first to
adaptive groups, then to genera within taxonomic groups, and in some cases to
species within genera.

this time, there are only a few keys, but we will continue to add to them -
see list.
If you are not familiar with Lucid, there are some introductory hints. You should find them easy to use, and if not please do let us know.
