For information regaurding what your pictures should look like, I would recommend going to http://microscope.mbl.edu. It has a tremendous amount of pictures to browse through and get an idea of what good photomicroscopy looks like.

Zeiss has a number of useful guides that you can get from Rudi, the MBL Zeiss representative. More useful information can be found on their website, www.zeiss.com.

Books from the library here at the MBL that proved helpful for me included KRISTENS TEXTBOOKS HERE!

The best information, however, comes from people who have experience. Paddy and Charley are the best resources, and other people in your course can prove very helpful. Good luck and happy pictures!
