Amoebophilus Dangeard 1910 an ectoparasitic fungus (Zygomycetes). In this case infesting Mayorella sp. There are several species in the genus. Found in a soil sample from an old-growth pine forest in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, Lapland, Finland. June 2008. Phase contrast. This image was taken by William Bourland.
