| Description of Stylonychia pustulata: Ovoid hypotrich, 150 microns long, with a large and prominent adoral zone of membranelles occupying one-third of the body length. The arrangement of cirri is typical of the genus with three frontoventral and three long distinctive caudal cirri. There are two ovoid macronuclei. |
