Amphidinium (am-fee-din-ee-um) bipes Herdman 1924. The image shows a cell posterior characteristically indented and with a small epicone turned to the left cell side. The cingulum is near the anterior end of the cell. Small brown granules are visible at the posterior ends. This is from a collection of images of dinoflagellates of marine sediments.
