Katodinium (cat-o-din-ee-um) fungiforme (Anissimowa) Loeblich III 1965. The image on the left shows a round cell in dorsal-lateral view. The epicone appears to be longer than the hypocone. The image on the right shows a cell in ventral view. The cingulum is descending. The cells are colourless (contain no plastids). This is from a collection of images of dinoflagellates of marine sediments. The collection has been assembled by Mona Hoppenrath and Shauna Murray.
