A number of ponds and woodland streams lie around the University campus. There are seasonal successions within the microbial communities. In the early season green algae and chrysophytes are quite common. This collection of images includes material from these sites, from collections of euglenid protists of Mark Farner, as well as from collections of Symbiodinium, labyrinthulids and thraustochytrids.
