Waters of Vineyard Sound

Vineyard Sound is the body of water on the western margins of the Atlantic Ocean. It is part of the water mass between Cape Cod and the offshore island of Martha's Vineyard (home of the 'progressive' radio station WMVY. This station has an inbred consistency that derives from NE US seventies musical preferences, leading to apologies before playing Tom Waits and the virtual exclusion of Chris Rea or Roxy Music. The effect is none-the-less a purity of character worthy of applause. This site (i.e. the Vineyard Sound rather than the WMVY sound) is a conventional coastal marine water column habitat, with free-swimming planktonic organisms as well as organisms associated with small pieces of detritus.
