Description: Specimen of approx. 60 x 25 µm size. Pseudopodia with well visible adherent rods. The anterior flagellum connected to what probably is the basal body, which is located
directly in front of the partly shown nucleus (better visible in downloadable tiff-image). The observed cell moved by gliding rather then swimming, the movement of the flagellum without much influence. Specimen was found in the bottom detritus of a polysaprobic pond with the slight smell of H2S. The sample also contained specimens of the genus Pelomyxa.
