Stentor polymorphus

| Description of Stentor polymorphus: Elongate green heterotrich ciliate, the body is cylindrical for most of its length, which may attain 1-2 mm long. The peristome is wide but not greatly expanded. The macronucleus looks like a line of beads. No somatic bristles are present. Green colour comes from symbiotic zoochlorellae. |
